Ethnic monitoring, just say no

Im Irish, came here via London 15 years ago. I go back to Ireland for holidays and visits but I consider myself a Leicester man now.
leicester is a great melting pot and is truly the most cosmopolitan town in the UK
In Leicester you have to get integrated, there is no choice and we could teach the rest of the UK a few lessons in integration.

We should lead the way and get the council to get rid of all ethnic monitoring on the grounds that this is Leicester and WE DONT NEED THAT.

Collect information about access to broadband or skills held or something that is actually a useful piece of information.

I am Irish and I am Leicester.

I have often sat in a room in Leicester where every person is a differant ethnic group. We already know that we are differant people. We dont need to classify ourselves in that way.
If race as a concept is taken to its ultimate then we are all in our own race. It is a completely stupid concept that has no place in a modern society. Sadly our government seems to believe in the concept as an article of faith. Remember they wanted to introduce ethnic monitoring on the week that South Africa removed the requirement from registration of births.
